Catering Manager

The Manoir des Sables is looking for a Catering Manager to join its team for a full-time job.



  • See to the management of human resources;
  • See to the management of financial and material resources;
  • Perform a daily inspection of the facilities and ensure the application of hygiene, sanitation, health and safety standards at work;
  • Ensure the condition of all facilities and premises and see to their maintenance;
  • Establish, apply and enforce policies and procedures;
  • Apply and comply with the collective labor agreement. Involve union representatives in the changes;
  • Support of the department and ensure the proper functioning;
  • Work in close collaboration with the Executive Chef, sous chef and butler in order to have a positive, constructive and evolving synergy in the department;
  • Collaborate with the various departments of the hotel
  • Ensure customer satisfaction;
  • Manage dining room reservations;
  • Assist with service during peak periods, if required;
  • Solve any problem, remedy any unforeseen event, deal with any customer complaint and post-stay follow-up.

Skills and qualifications

  • Skills for human resources management (management of work teams, conflict management, etc.);
  • Sales, marketing (internal), negotiation and customer service skills;
  • Professional attitudes and behavior (aptitudes for teamwork, autonomy, dynamism, interpersonal skills, honesty, versatility, sense of initiative, sense of organization, etc.);
  • Bilingual. Fluency in other languages is an advantage;
  • Knowledge of the regional tourism industry and customer needs;
  • Knowledge and application of labor standards and basic principles of health and safety, as well as hygiene and sanitation;
  • Skills for written and verbal communication;
  • Knowledge of the basic principles of the operation of relevant computer systems;
  • Positive, constructive leadership and decision-making ability;
  • Stress tolerance;
  • Autonomy and solution mode.
