Catering Manager
The Manoir des Sables is looking for a Catering Manager to join its team for a full-time job.
Tasks
- See to the management of human resources;
- See to the management of financial and material resources;
- Perform a daily inspection of the facilities and ensure the application of hygiene, sanitation, health and safety standards at work;
- Ensure the condition of all facilities and premises and see to their maintenance;
- Establish, apply and enforce policies and procedures;
- Apply and comply with the collective labor agreement. Involve union representatives in the changes;
- Support of the department and ensure the proper functioning;
- Work in close collaboration with the Executive Chef, sous chef and butler in order to have a positive, constructive and evolving synergy in the department;
- Collaborate with the various departments of the hotel
- Ensure customer satisfaction;
- Manage dining room reservations;
- Assist with service during peak periods, if required;
- Solve any problem, remedy any unforeseen event, deal with any customer complaint and post-stay follow-up.
Skills and qualifications
- Skills for human resources management (management of work teams, conflict management, etc.);
- Sales, marketing (internal), negotiation and customer service skills;
- Professional attitudes and behavior (aptitudes for teamwork, autonomy, dynamism, interpersonal skills, honesty, versatility, sense of initiative, sense of organization, etc.);
- Bilingual. Fluency in other languages is an advantage;
- Knowledge of the regional tourism industry and customer needs;
- Knowledge and application of labor standards and basic principles of health and safety, as well as hygiene and sanitation;
- Skills for written and verbal communication;
- Knowledge of the basic principles of the operation of relevant computer systems;
- Positive, constructive leadership and decision-making ability;
- Stress tolerance;
- Autonomy and solution mode.
